FYI for Domain controllers being hosted on VMWARE
DO NOT use vmware's snapshot as a means of data restoration or system rollback for any domain controllers you are hosting on your virtual server. It doesn't work. It will cause major issues and you will have to decomission your domain controller. ...

The proxy issue lead us to move from Websense to 8e6. We've been pleased with it so far. We've also been using OpenDNS to supplement it. Most of the (few) sites that 8e6 misses, OpenDNS catches. Pricing was similar to Websense and OpenDNS is free.

We have a sonicwall firewall here. We use the provided content filter. It works well at blocking content and the price is right. It does not give us a lot of control. It is all or none bascially. I would not recommend it.

We use Websense and have been very happy with the results. It is very easy to use and powerful.

Hey Scott, We are currently using a product by SmoothWall called School Guardian. It has alot of nice features and the interface is clean. It allowed us to reuse some of the older server equipment. I also like its dynamic content analysis as well....
